Uniform is important to us and we have high expectations. Equity is a core value at Mounts Bay Academy and so these uniform rules apply to all students, unless there are significant reasons as to why an alternative has to be worn. Where this is the case, students are asked to bring in documentation from the relevant medical or other professional and alternative arrangements can usually be made.
There is also a professional dress code for members of staff as well.

| Black V necked jumpers may be worn during cold weather. These must only be worn UNDER a blazer | Any jumper that is not V neck cannot be worn, nor can cardigans. No jumper can be worn in place of a blazer. |
| Simple black hair bands that are specifically for keeping hair back | Hair decorations that are coloured, fashion accessories or coloured extensions are not allowed. Accessories that serve no real purpose are not allowed. |
| Sensible coat for warmth and to keep dry. Can be worn on the way to school and outside in social areas but NOT inside school. | Fashion coats that are not useful to keep warm and dry. Hoodies – even to and from school. Hoodies may NOT be worn to college courses or PE outdoor events. |

Students are expected to come to the academy everyday with all the correct equipment ready to learn.
