As a Specialist Administrator, you won’t just be managing paperwork, you’ll be a friendly face for students, parents, teachers, and senior leaders. Every day brings new opportunities to engage, solve problems, and keep the school running smoothly.
Heart of the School: Be the key point of contact for staff, families, visitors, and external partners.

Depending on your specialist focus and the needs of the school, your day might involve:
Community & Engagement: Managing the school’s website, social media, app updates, and admissions processes to showcase the best of school life.
Attendance & Pastoral Support: Working directly with families and pastoral teams to encourage student attendance, using empathy and kindness to navigate challenging situations.
People & HR Operations: Supporting recruitment, welcoming new starters, coordinating cover for staff, and maintaining essential HR records.
Finance & Administration: Assisting with local purchasing, trip management on parent payment portals, and maintaining essential MIS database records (Arbor).
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable professional with a high level of initiative and excellent communication skills.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Education: GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent. NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
Experience: Proven administrative background (preferably in an educational setting) with experience managing administrative systems.
Tech Skills: Strong proficiency in IT systems (Office 365, Word, Excel, Outlook).
Key Attributes: High attention to detail, resilience under pressure, excellent organisational skills, and a strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
Desirable Assets:
First Aid certification (or willingness to train).
Experience using school database systems (such as Arbor).
Training in Safer Recruitment, Safeguarding (Level 3), or minute-taking.
