Year 8 Cricket

On Wednesday Mounts Bay travelled to Truro School for a  cricket fixture. Winning the toss Mounts Bay elected to bowl. After some tight bowling between James Williamson and Billy Edwards Mounts Bay took there first wicket through Billy. Truro were heading to a big total until Jack Marecheal restricted them with some great bowling. Jack Sharp took the next wicket getting rid of there opener who made 44. After a change of keepers Will Trenoweth came on to bowl his four overs taking one wicket and restricting Truro from making a big total.

Next it was Mounts Bay’s turn to bat. Their innings got off to a great start with some great running between the wickets from Will and Billy. Truro took there first wicket, with Will making 17. Finally Billy was out after making 30 and Jack Marecheal after making 20, both were great innings. Then Mackenzie, led the innings along scoring 10. Harry Doyle and Josh Storey finished of the game in style especially Josh Storey hitting a amazing four to win the game.

As always a massive thank you to Mr Strong for driving the bus and being umpire. Also well done to all the team, everyone played brilliantly.
