On Thursday 19th June 12 students from Years 8, 9 and 10 had a watersports taster day at Falmouth Marine School (FMS). They had their first go at SUP (stand up paddle boarding) and a very breezy blast around Falmouth harbour in some sailing dinghies. They were taught by trainee waterspouts instructors at FMS who needed some experience in coaching groups of novices.
The MBA students had a fantastic time, learned some new skills and had the seeds of thought planted in their minds that it is possible to earn a living by teaching people to sail! Quite a few old MBA students have gone on to Falmouth Marine School to study watersports coaching and there is a good link between the two establishments.
