St Pirans day

We are celebrating St Pirans Day here in the Academy with a number of events around the campus and in class learning activities.

Year 8 students engaged with the Cornish language during their English classes on St Piran’s Day. As part of the History of Language module, the students studied local ordinance survey maps and located Cornish place names with the aid of a Cornish dictionary.

Students celebrated St Piran’s Day today in Language Club by learning how to say their name, their age and how they were feeling in Cornish.  Well done to Loren Trevorrow for winning the Cornish lottery game!
