Skateboarding

Report by Beau Rogers

I went to Birmingham last weekend to compete in the fifth and final round of the UK Independent Vert Series hoping that I would come away in a good place. I was in 16th on the board so I had to score at least 176 points to get into the final. I ended up getting a score of 359 which got me in the final easily.

The final was was hard. I had to throw down at least seven new tricks in my last run in the final and I was over the moon when I ended up getting 3rd place, winning loads of new gear and gaining a new sponsor with TSG helmets and protection. I ended up finishing fourth over all in the whole series. I was so happy. Looking forward to next year, bring it on, I am off to London on October 31st for the Vert Wars and on 12th December I am going to Sweden to compete in the Vert Attack.  I can’t wait.
