We have just completed the first phase of our full refurbishment of our science facilities with the first 5 rooms being returned to us after work commencing just 7 weeks ago.
The work is the result of a massive investment we have secured and will eventually see our entire science block fully refurbished from the top down, including new roofs, ceilings, walls, doors, furniture, floor coverings, furniture and science equipment.
As with all major undertakings here at the Academy, a student focus group was integral in the initial design specification of the new labs, working with Mrs Davey, Mr Davies and the premises team led by Mr Harvey.
The project has been managed by Mr Davies who has also been busy over the summer managing the the replacing of the roofs and updating both the student refectory and the art block.
Whilst the new rooms have been brought straight back into use, we will be making them even more exciting in the near future by adding themed wall graphics to finish the environments to the highest standard.

We are working hard to complete the refurbishment a quickly as possible and students are actively taking part in the process by observing the work in progress. Look out for more news as we complete Phase 2.
