Musical Unity

Report By: Darren Roberts

The force was strong with our musicians on Wednesday May 4th, better know as Star Wars day, as a small group of performers spent the afternoon and evening at Penwith College for the inaugural Musical Unity Concert. The show featured a combination of Penwith College music students, including ex Mounts Bay stars Olivia Stephens and Isabel Ridley, and some of MBA’s most experienced performers.

They spent the afternoon in college rehearsing and enjoying the facilities, and meeting some college students and lecturers. The concert itself kicked off with performers from college, which were followed by characteristically strong performances from Eleventh Hour (Emma Eddy, Brody Barden, Austen Barden and Amber Symons), Demelza Jones, Primouva (Nina Micciche, Kyle Hunt, Oscar Clive and Harry Doyle) a brilliant duo set from Alice Thacker and Brody Barden, and ended by The Cold Six Hundred (Nat Dwelly, Alex Hanman, Jacob Powley and Tom Berry).

It was a really good experience for our performers and as usual everyone represented MBA brilliantly. Massive thanks to Katie Maggs at Penwith for having us!
