House Hockey

Wednesday saw the 1st of 3 inter House Hockey competitions taking place this week. Before Christmas Blue and Orange qualified for the final. At lunch time on Wednesday they competed in an absolutely ‘corker’ of a final, they were amazing. We had a lot of Year 7 supporters.
This lunchtime (Friday) will be the Year 8 final. Feel free to come up and support.

On Wednesday 21st January there was the final of the Year 7 girls’ inter House Hockey tournament. The match was Blue House against Orange House and Blue won with a score of 2-1. The Blue team consisted of Rose, Hollie, Scarlet, Amelia, Taya, Molly, Abigail and Holly. At half time blue house was ahead with one goal, but in the second half Orange caught up and when the whistle went it was 1-1. We decided to go into extra time and it was all down to the golden goal. At last a goal was scored by Hollie from Blue house and a very tense game came to an end. It was a very close match and everyone played really well. Thank you to Mrs Crowle and Mrs Travail for umpiring the match and making it happen.

Report by Hollie and Rose.

On Thursday lunchtime it was the turn of  Year 9’s Purple and Yellow House.  Purple won 2 – 0 but  Yellow put up a good fight!
