Hawaiian Adventure

This Saturday we welcomed hundreds of Year 5 and 6 students to MBA  for an exciting morning exploring the islands of Hawaii through our unique adventurous learning. Students visited four islands; Kauai, Oahu, Maui and Hawaii each exploring the culture, sport, art and science of Hawaii. They experienced real lessons, but set in a context that eliminates the “chalk and talk” and give our students “a life less ordinary” with education that sets us apart from the majority of schools in the country.

Amongst a fantastic array of activities they made and ate fruit kebabs, explored the geology of Hawaii, making exploding volcanos and creating lava, scaled cliffs, danced the hula, limboed, hula hooped, made flower leis and drummed.

Most of all they had a brief snapshot of what it is like to be a student at Mounts Bay, and judging by their reactions, they all liked what they experienced.

If you would like to experience “a life less ordinary”, book a personal tour of the academy or join us for our Open Evening on 3rd October 2017.
