On Thursday 16th and Friday 17th February the Mounts Bay Football Development Centre ran yet another very successful Half-Term Soccer Camp. Over 50 children attended ranging in age from 4 to 13.
It was an action packed two days. In the morning the coaches delivered fun games and activities for the children to enjoy. On the first day after lunch the players took part in a cross bar challenge and after lunch on the second day they took part in the main challenge, the Ball Control Challenge. The players were then put into a Champions League tournament for each age group.
At the end there was a final presentation where prizes were awarded for Best Attitude, Overall Player, the Special Award, the Crossbar Challenge and the Ball Control Challenge.
A huge thanks to our Football Development Centre staff, Jason Simmonds, Dom Angove, Jacob Trudgeon and Murray Western, all of whom are former students. Also, well done to the young volunteers, Tom Hands, Pasha Wilson, Logan Trevains, Aston Siney, James Swan and Josh Turner, who came in for the two days to assist the coaching and gain some experience.
