Giving Students A Head Start

Jess Golding (Penzance BID) and Emily Kavanagh (Penzance Chamber of Commerce) visited Mounts Bay Academy on Tuesday to see the work that Year 8 have been doing on designing an app to promote Tourism in the area.

Mr Elliott, our Director of Digital Media, said “I wanted the students to have a real-world problem to solve and promoting the area seemed to fit in well with the work that the BID are doing to promote the area. It is valuable for the students to have a ‘real’ person in to the Academy to validate their work.”

Jess Golding, Penzance BID Manager said “How wonderful it was to see the up and coming talent we have in this town. With the digital and creative industries being such a hot topic, it was wonderful to see Mounts Bay Academy giving the students a head start.’
