Mounts Bay Academy welcomed a group of students from Augsburg, Germany, this week. They shadowed Year 9 students in order to get a taste of what life is like in a British school, as well as improve their English. Some of them were even brave enough to deliver short presentations about their region and school and a few groups were given an introductory lesson in German.
After their day at school the German students were kept busy, with coastal walks and visits to St Michael’s Mount and St Ives. They could not have asked for better weather, with almost cloudless skies everyday! Our students were fantastic hosts and some have even learnt a little bit of German along the way. It has been a really positive and valuable experience for everyone involved.
