Food and Cookery

In September 2016 11 students in Year 9 started a new course in Food and Cookery. Over the year they learnt about hygiene, nutrition and developed an array of cooking skills. As part of the assessment the students prepared a two course meal as well as completing written assignments.

At the end of the year all the students achieved a merit or better with two students achieving distinction stars. These would be great results for students at the end of Year 11 so to achieve them two years earlier is a truly excellent effort. Well done to all these students and we know that they will build on this success to work hard towards achieving more excellent results in the future.
