Our students spent their own time writing a short story on the theme of memory. The process meant that they needed to work independently developing their own ideas. They also needed to draft and redraft their stories after receiving feedback from others. They were intrinsically motivated to do well as this was not a normal school activity. The stories were awarded a Da Vinci award as they are of a higher quality than you would normally expect from students of their age.
