On the Friday before half term, Year 7 students took part in an exciting Cornish language workshop with Will Coleman, creator of The Man Engine. This workshop was part of an exhibition and ‘treasure hunt’ begin organised with GoCornish, pioneers of a Cornish language revival scheme. Students worked with Will to explore the origins of Cornish place names and used their meanings to create some beautiful illustrations. The outcomes are still being made at the moment, but will be exhibited in Barton Books on Causeway Head from the end of this week. The Cornish language treasure trail is open to all, so it would be great to see you there!
