The children’s university encourages extra curricular activities, a bit like a cross between the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and the school credit system.
Hours of activities are logged in a passport and certificates awarded.
Loren has bronze, silver and gold awards, certificates and diplomas. She has the Bronze degree and Loren has been presented today with the Silver Degree for participating in activities totalling 365 hours over the last two years.
She has played cricket, now being considered for the county squad, girl guides, pack leader for the brownies, plays the flute as well as cooking and hockey clubs.
Loren says “it’s great fun to be doing activities with my friends, you learn lots of things as well”
