Music on the Mount

Review by: Esmee Campbell

This Sunday the Academy performed at Music on the Mount on St. Michaels Mount.

It was a cold wet day but we all persevered and had a great time, although the rain meant not everyone could preform but those who did preform did a great job. Throughout the day there were various acts such as the Pensamba Samba Band, samba dancers and the Penzance Morris Dancers. Performers from our school were: Emily Walker, Imogen Forster, May Robson, Sammy Dunn, Aleisha Barns, Anna Lander, Olivia Stephens, Lamorna Lee and the Heiwa Tribe Taiko Drummers.

I loved the fact that it was something that bought lots of different music and cultures together for everyone to share and it gave me a new perspective of music, I didn’t like the fact that it was raining and so cold, so wasn’t as enjoyable as it should of been, but the sun did greet us for a little while before disappearing again.

I would recommend Music on the Mount to anyone who loves music and wants to experience lots of different kinds of music.
