Year 7 football

On Wednesday the 1st of February, the Year 7 Football team travelled to Hayle for their league match against Hayle Community School. Kicking up hill for the first half, Mounts Bay took the lead through centre forward Jacob Trudgeon, who capitalised on some bad defending to put Mounts Bay in the lead. Hayle equalised ten minutes later but just before half time, Max Armstrong gave Mounts Bay the upper hand once again.

Mounts Bay started the second half kicking downhill and with some good passing, continued building on their lead, with a good cross from Ryan Wilkinson to give Jacob Trudgeon the edge on the Hayle defence to score once again. Straight from the kick-off Hayle made a good break down the right wing to give Hayle a slight hope. Luckily ten minutes before time Finley Wallis gave us the three points to finish the game. A good team effort by all!
