On Tuesday 6th March, seventeen Mounts Bay pupils and sixteen St Ives pupils were fortunate to have the opportunity to attend a Water Polo session at St Ives Leisure Centre. This was a rare opportunity to experience this sport for some pupils; other pupils attend weekly training sessions at Penzance Swimming and Water Polo club. There was a series of swim drills, handling and game play. The afternoon session was taken by Mr N Eddy an experienced player. It was a thoroughly enjoyed session from both schools, some pupils are now keen to take up the sport. Hopefully the pupils will further understand the game in the 2012 Olympics this summer.
