This weekend was is the culmination of the Gowan Festival and the Academy took part in a number of events as part of the celebration.

Friday 28th Sarah McQuiad at The Acorn supported by Theo Black, Georgia Ellery, Shania Curnow, and Nat Dwelly. Sarah is an amazing folk singer back from international tours, promoting her latest album.

Sunday 30th June Notes On The Green – a full day of young acoustic music, performers from Penwith’s schools and colleges. Organised by 4 of our gold arts award students. 10am – 4pm Penlee Park Penzance. Free public event.

This year’s theme is “Giants” and this week we’ve been hard at work on Audrey II who was the centerpiece of our celebration. Local artist Graham Jobbins has been in the Cube working on our giant plant with students this week and she was ready to meet her public once again!
