You are invited to attend one of our Open Day events to learn more about Mounts Bay Academy in a safe but informative way.

There is an opportunity to visit us on any weekday..

Your timed ticket will enable you to meet with the Principal Mr Hall and then journey on a guided tour of the school lasting between 30 and 40 minutes with a member of our leadership team. Discover more about our vision, ambitious educational offer your child joining us in 2021.

We have been able to balance keeping the school open during this time to all students in order for them to continue with their learning alongside keeping you as safe as possible whilst in the school and keep the integrity of all our protective measures in place.

To ensure that we keep our staff, pupils and school communities safe during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we are limiting the number of attendees for each time slot to 6. An attendee is anyone over the age of 2.

As such, we ask that people looking to join us at any of our in-person events book only one ticket per family member. e.g. If there are 2 adults and1 child attending – select 3 tickets for the time slot. If there is 1 adult and 1 child, select 2 tickets.

It is possible there will be 2 families in a time slot, but highly unlikely more than that.

We may not be able to admit more than the number of tickets you have, so please consider who may be able to attend. We expect you will bring the child who would to attend the school in the future. If you have a baby/toddler (under 2 years old they don’t need to be ticketed)

Your safety and well-being is our priority and we have measures in place throughout our school site to keep you safe.

Therefore, please arrive only at the time shown on your ticket. Early or late arrivals may not be admitted.

We look forward to meeting prospective parents and ask that all individuals over the age of 12 wear a face covering for the duration of the visit. We expect you to use hand sanitiser when you arrive at our site and follow the direction of your tour guide at all times.

We will send you further details with your booking confirmation of the protocols for entering and exiting the building along with further details of the route through school and what you can expect to experience during the tour.

*Please note that this event is subject to local lockdown measures. We will be in touch to confirm your booking and let you know if this is the case. We would also ask you to let us know if you are not able to attend for any reason or need to change your slot.

Please do not come to the event if you or anyone in your family group have symptoms associated with coronavirus. If this applies to you, a separate tour can be arranged for you on another occasion. We follow the government guidance on symptoms, testing and isolating.

The tour will last approximately 40 minutes.

In our email confirmation we will ask you if there is an aspect of the educational provision we offer that you would like to focus on in order to personalise your time with us. We will also advise of arrival/departure requirements. etc

If you have any questions or need to amend your ticket please call 01736 352321 or email

Thank you for your understanding during these precedented times.
